How much does AnimeAPI cost?
The anime model is $0.003 per image. Ultra is $0.01 and ultra-max is $0.02, in any orientation. You add funds from $5 to $1,000 at a time; $10 buys about 3,333 anime images. There is no subscription and the balance never expires.
How fast is it?
We measured a median of 4.3 seconds on the anime model (3.3–9s), about 11 seconds on ultra and about 12 seconds on ultra-max. The request returns when the image is ready.
What sizes and formats do I get?
The anime model returns WebP at 832×1280 (portrait), 1024×1024 (square) or 1280×832 (landscape). Ultra and ultra-max return PNG at 1024×1536, 1024×1024 or 1536×1024.
What is prompt enhancement?
On the anime model, your plain-English prompt is rewritten into Danbooru-style tags before generation, and the tags come back in enhanced_prompt. Send enhance: false to skip it. Ultra models keep your sentence and add an anime style to it.
Can it make videos?
Yes. POST /api/videos turns a prompt, optionally with a first and/or last frame image, into a 5–15 second MP4 with sound. It costs $0.016 per second at 480p or $0.04 at 768p (a 5-second 768p clip is $0.20). You get a job id right away and poll it until the video is ready; failed videos are refunded.
Are there rate limits?
No. There is no daily cap on API keys: you can generate as many images as your balance covers, in parallel. Only the free demo on the homepage is limited, to 3 images per day per IP.
Can I use the images commercially?
Yes. You retain rights to the images you generate, subject to the Terms of Service.
